Rob Pincus Compares Firebird 50BIO and Firebird 65BIO Targets
Firebird Targets at the opportunity to shoo with legendary shooting instructor and firearm writer Rob Pincus last weekend. Rob is a legend in the shooting industry, notably as the Training Director at Valhalla Training Center known for training Special Forces groups before starting his own world-class training regimen, the Combat Focus Shooting program through his own I.C.E. Training Company. Pincus has also been a staff writer for SWAT Magazine for over 20 years as well as penning countless gun reviews and training tips for many other publications and blogs while also lending his expertise to several television and news programs.
We met up with Rob at the NRA Whittington Center for the 2022 Lucid Optics Ballistic Summit. While Rob was a little familiar with earlier versions of the product, we really wanted him to try out detonating targets. No stranger to reactive targets, we knew Rob would enjoy Firebird Targets because they are easier to use (no mixing required; just peel, stick and shoot!) and they are safer to travel with. He was curious as to the difference between the Firebird 50BIO Targets and the 65BIO Targets. While our 50mm targets are better for accuracy training, the 65mm targets offer more boom and more surface area to hit. While the distance and microphone make it a little hard to pick up on the difference between the two boom, we certainly had a blast shooting with Rob Pincus!
