Firebird 65 BIO Targets with Tomcat Airguns

Youtube Channel Tomcat Airguns recently took both the Firebird 50 BIO Targets and Firebird 65 BIO Targets out to the range and shared his experiences. First, he started out with a fun story of the first time he shot Firebird Targets and he immediately grabbed his First Responder radio to let everyone know that the loud BOOM was planned and everybody was alright.

To make things more interesting, he decided to pick up a decibel meter to measure just how loud the 50 BIO and 65BIO Targets are! In our own testing, we’ve found they are generally 125 dB (we like to equate it to the sound of a 12 gauge shotgun going off). But, that sound changes depending on distance, backing material, and how close to the center you hit the target. Atmospheric conditions can also affect the sound level, so we always recommend hearing protection when shooting Firebird Targets.

Of course, trying to measure decibels is hard when you’re having fun! Tom is able to get some measurements amid the excitement, finding the blast from a 65 BIO Target is116 dB from 10 feet away. So, make sure you have your ear protection!

Watch the video below to see how much fun Firebird Targets can be! And, if you’re ready to pick some up to shoot for yourself, find a local retailer or pick some up online!
